It has since expanded its operations to include wholesale distribution within the domestic market, supplying other businesses. We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Butcher to join our close-knit team in Brisbane. This is a full time role working 38 hours per week. Responsibilities will include : Animal cutting, trimming and butchering Processing meat using knives, cleavers and other equipment Preparing cuts for weighing, packing and sale or further processing Operating meat cutting machinery Assisting in packing meat products Preparing and seasoning various cuts of meat for dishes like schnitzel and marinades. Selecting and processing meat to create specialty sausages and cured meats. Mixing spices, salt, and other ingredients to make seasonings and pickles. Operating equipment like sausage fillers, smoking chambers, and cooking vats. Providing expert advice to customers on different cuts of meat and their best uses. May assist in menu planning, cost estimation, and scheduling food production.
