About the Role Reporting to the Manager Environmental, the Senior Environmental Advisor will lead environmental activities in alignment with Westgold's EHS standards and ensure full compliance with legislative and statutory requirements to support sustainable mining operations. This permanent role is offered on an 8:6 roster at Higginsville , part of Westgold's Southern Goldfields Operations, which includes a 1.6Mtpa processing plant and 192 mining tenements. Key Responsibilities Support and improve the site Environmental Management System, including audits, inspections, training, and initiatives. Implement and maintain environmental monitoring programs and databases to meet legal obligations. Facilitate land access for operations, considering tenure, stakeholder engagement, and legal permissions. Coordinate contractors and temporary staff to meet performance, safety, and budget targets. Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships to support life-of-mine objectives. Promote environmental compliance and best practices across site personnel. Engage stakeholders on land access, heritage, and tenure matters to support mine development. Lead progressive land rehabilitation programs. Uphold Westgold's Life Preserving Rules and Core Values, and actively support safety initiatives. What You'll Need Promote and comply with company policies on fitness for work, hours, issue resolution, and conduct. Participate in hazard identification and investigations. Identify and report changes affecting the site risk register. Use safety systems for training, incident reporting, and action tracking. Ensure procedural compliance.
