About the Department: Join a dynamic, collegial team of five Infectious Diseases Physicians and Clinical Microbiologists , delivering comprehensive tertiary inpatient, consult, outpatient and Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) services. The unit is supported by two ID Advanced Trainees, two Microbiology Trainees, and junior registrars , fostering a rich teaching environment and cohesive clinical practice. The case mix is broad and fascinating, with significant exposure to tropical infections such as melioidosis, Q fever, brucellosis and rickettsial diseases . There are extensive opportunities for teaching and research , with strong affiliate links to the University and the Australian Institute of Tropical Health and Medicine (AITHM) .
