Drive Growth in One of Australia's Most Vital Supply Regions Ozwide Freight is a trusted, family-owned transport and logistics business, delivering reliable freight, warehousing, and distribution services to North Queensland and Perth. With depots in Rockhampton, Townsville, and Cairns, we're seeking a driven Regional Operations / Business Development Manager based in one of these three depots, to take charge of our growth in North Queensland. The Role: Operations - involvement in day-to-day operations of each depot, communicating with, and assisting our depot supervisors to deliver a prompt and efficient service. Maximise the use of available resources whilst keeping costs to a minimum. Assist depots in busy times and filling in while staff are on annual leave. Regularly travel between depots to support, assist, and ensure company guidelines are being followed, and depots are running efficiently. Regional BDM - expand our client base, strengthening existing relationships, and drive commercial success across North Queensland - from Bundaberg to Cairns and all surrounding areas. Identify new business opportunities and work closely with operational teams to ensure exceptional service delivery. Key Responsibilities: Ensure NQ depot operations are in line with company goals and policy. Assist and support NQ depot supervisors on a daily basis. Develop and implement regional business growth strategies. Identify and pursue new customer opportunities across multiple sectors. Build strong relationships with clients. Partner with operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery. Represent the company at local industry functions, trade shows, and community events. Report directly to the General Manager. What You'll Bring: 5 years' experience in business development or account management within the transport and logistics industry. A good understanding of regional Queensland's freight and logistics environment. Proven track record of hitting and exceeding revenue targets. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills. Self-motivated and results-driven with the ability to work independently. Willingness to travel regularly across North Queensland.
