About the role A unique opportunity has now arisen at The Valley to join the team in the role of Commercial Coordinator working full-time over the next three months during our most exciting time. Reporting to the Head of Commercial, the role is responsible for supporting the Commercial Team with servicing of the Club's commercial partners and key stakeholders through administrative duties. This role will also support our program of community initiatives and commercial events. The position will have daily contact with corporate clients to ensure they are receiving timely and outstanding customer service. All MVRC employees will demonstrate commitment to MVRC Values which are: Start with the Customer Challenge and Collaborate Be Kind Own It Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to the following: Support the Partnership Account Executive with the timely execution of partners' contract entitlements and deliverables, before, during and after their event (s) Assist to collate partners' information, collateral, advertising, signage and other sponsorship related materials Assist with new partner onboarding Collect, co-ordinate and collate materials for post campaign reporting Coordinate and book partners' hospitality and ticketing requirements Assist with Cox Plate Carnival Charity Pin activation and be the support liaison for race meetings During race meetings, work in a client servicing role that includes liaising with partners and prospective clients including assisting with post race presentations Assist the Commercial Team with day-to-day tasks for key activities including community initiatives and commercial events Assist with coordination of partner activations which come in various formats Assist with photographer briefs Racing & Fashion Lunch support including the program, gifting, show bags, set up etc. Community engagement event support such as "Barks of the Course" Member Event support - such as Young Member Cocktail Party, helping with Member Hub and transferred race meeting events To effectively perform in the role the successful candidate must have the following skills, experience, qualifications: Relevant experience in client facing role ideally within a commercial or sporting landscape. Experience in event coordination preferred. Experience dealing with corporate clients. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Experience in delivering exceptional customer service. A self-starter with exceptional time management skills, detail oriented and ready to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Act as an effective team member, to achieve common goals. Ability to work Friday night and Saturday race meetings. Effective use of the Microsoft Office suite, especially PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
