We have a role available for an Industry Engagement Manager to join our Defence Division and support this new contract. This is a permanent full-time position that could be based at any of the main defence bases in the Northern Territory or South Australia. About the role You will be developing and implementing comprehensive procurement and Indigenous strategies that foster relationships with Defence communities across all regions and liaise with a variety of external contractors. You will be part of a pivotal role that ensures seamless collaboration and engagement between various stakeholders to achieve desired objectives and promote Indigenous and local business participation in procurement processes. Your key responsibilities will include: Coordinating and facilitating meetings, workshops and events promoting engagement and collaboration. Developing and implementing procurement and Indigenous engagement strategies. Establishing and maintaining relationships with external contractors to ensure alignment with desired objectives. Engaging with Defence communities across all regions to understand and address needs and concerns. Ensuring compliance with relevant polices, procedures and regulations is upheld in relation to procurement and Indigenous engagement. Monitoring and reporting on progression of engagement activities and their impact on project outcomes. Providing guidance and support to internal teams on best practices for community and contractor engagement. About you Our ideal candidate will have: Atleast 5 years’ experience in industry engagement, procurement or project management, preferably within the defence sector. Experience working with Indigenous communities and organisations. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong understanding of procurement strategies, processes and regulations. Tertiary qualification in Business, Management, Marketing or a related field is highly desirable. You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
