As South Australia's peak body for housing advocacy, Shelter SA works with its membership to influence housing policy and improve access to safe, secure, and affordable housing for all South Australians. With upcoming board renewal over the next few years, we are looking to appoint two new Directors who can contribute to our strategic direction and uphold our commitment to strong governance and social impact. About the Opportunity This is a significant opportunity to help guide Shelter SA’s mission during a period of important transition. The Board is succession planning for several office bearer roles, including that of Chair. This is an ideal opportunity for someone seeking to step up into a leadership capacity within the Board, where your skills, vision, and commitment to social impact will be highly valued and actively nurtured. What We’re Looking For We are seeking candidates who bring a strong understanding of governance and the responsibilities of a Board Director plus Commercial acumen; and/or Executive-level experience; and/or Knowledge of housing policy and sector issues; and/or Experience working with and influencing government. Commitment Required Availability to attend bimonthly Board meetings (online access available) including adequate review of board papers, and time to contribute to governance activities.
