Job Description Our headspace Knox and Lilydale teams are seeking expressions of interest from Allied Health Practitioners (Clinical Psychologists, General Psychologists, Accredited Mental Health Social Workers and Occupational Therapists) to provide services under the Medicare Better Access Scheme, delivering focused psychological strategies to young people aged 12-25. headspace Knox & headspace Lilydale headspace is a federally funded, innovative, early intervention program that aims to build the health and well-being of young people (12-25 years). We have a strong focus on mental health, physical health and drug and alcohol counselling, and support young people to engage in areas of vocation and education. The headspace Knox & headspace Lilydale teams are vibrant, supportive, multidisciplinary teams who work collaboratively to support young people and families in the Outer East of Melbourne. The teams comprise directly employed staff in intake, community engagement, therapeutic interventions and administrative roles, as well as co-located partner agency staff and private providers. The teams also host several student placement positions. What you’ll be doing You will be providing high standard, person-centred counselling and focused psychological strategies to young people with mental health concerns. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team members as needed to coordinate care. As a contractor, you will: Be allocated young people who have been assessed and are ready to access services be provided a room to operate from, free of charge agree to bulk bill young people for sessions, with no charges for cancellations, to ensure the service remains free for young people. In addition, you will be supported with: Clinical support from the Clinical Lead, including consultations, support to clients between sessions as needed, and the filling of cancellations where appropriate Administrative support, including monthly billing, reception, appointment bookings and appointment reminders Fully web-based medical record software with IT support You will need Approved tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work or Occupational Therapy and registration with the appropriate body Eligibility to provide Medicare Benefits Schedule services (Full registration with AHPRA for Psychology, Endorsed OT and Accredited Mental Health SW) Willingness to undergo or provide full compliance documents including current Police Check, and Working with Children’s Check Proof of professional indemnity insurance to value of $10 million and ABN
