Responsibilities Ensure work output is of a technically high standard, meets client needs, and activities are commercially viableProduce high-quality documentation and design tasks with a demonstrated working knowledge in the use of approved design software at an advanced levelApply creativity, foresight, and sound judgment to proactively identify and resolve design challengesMonitor and manage project outcomes, addressing issues, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure successful deliveryLead design efforts on projects, coordinate and mentor junior staff, and ensure compliance with company standards and processesPrepare project fee proposals and manage project budgets and invoicing with accuracy and efficiencySupport management in the preparation of tender submissions, including detailed scopes of work and budget estimatesAssist in business development through tender submissions and identifying new project opportunitiesRegular and active engagement with clients and other stakeholdersContribute to the ongoing development of innovative design practices and detailing. Skills And Expertise Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering8 years of structural engineering industry experienceMaintenance of CPEng Chartered Professional Engineer statusMaintenance of RPEQ professional statusAdvanced working knowledge in the use of structural design software, including SpaceGass, Inducta SLABS, RC Building, and Structural ToolkitAdvanced understanding and application of relevant Australian Standards and understanding of structural design principlesDemonstrated ability in preparing structural, detailed, and concept solutions independentlyEfficient time management skills to achieve project deadlines and budgetary constraintsA passion for developing leadership skillsTemporary Works experience and design delivery on key infrastructure projects is beneficial.
