Your role at St John of God Murdoch H ospital You will provide technical support and associated services to the Angiography Suite / CVIL Suite, for the performance of diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology studies. Our Angiography Department currently have Part-Time and Casual positions available for Senior Cardiac Technicians The Position Program and operate physiological monitoring equipment and is responsible for the interpretation and recording of physiological cardiovascular measurements in accordance with the requirements of each consultant. Program and operate computerised electrophysiology equipment and stimulator in a cost-efficient manner and records and retrieves data from the system. Assist in the preparation of the patient, defibrillates and participates in patient resuscitation. Calibrate and coordinate maintenance of electrophysiology equipment. Maintain adequate stock levels of consumables used in electrophysiology studies. Evaluate and recommend new techniques and procedures in collaboration with senior suite caregivers and clinicians. Keep and maintain relevant patient records in relation to procedural data as applicable Undertake formal and informal education of all caregivers in relation to Electrophysiology studies. You will have significant experience within the Angiography Suite setting as a Cardiac Technician including extensive experience in: ECG recording and interpretation Haemodynamic monitoring Electrophysiology studies and AF/SVT catheter ablations Holding highly developed interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills, in addition to advanced written and verbal communication, you will effectively work within the multidisciplinary team. To succeed you will hold CEPIA post graduate qualification and Cardiopulmonary Technology, NASPE or similar with sound working knowledge of computer information technology and Work Health & Safety Legislation. Previous experience in EP cases (electrophysiology cases) such as AF/SVT ablations and EP studies in Cath Lab is essential for the role.
