Job Description: We are seeking a motivated Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Intern to join one of our host companies in North Melbourne, VIC, for a part-time 12-week unpaid internship . This internship is ideal for engineering students or recent graduates who want to gain real-world, hands-on experience in facilities and asset management. The role offers exposure to both mechanical and electrical systems, with structured training under the supervision of an experienced Operations Manager. Outstanding performance during the internship may lead to transition into a paid graduate position with the company. Responsibilities: Assist in maintaining and managing on-site mechanical and electrical assets, including boilers, chillers, industrial fans, fire systems, and ventilation equipment. Update and manage asset registers and input compliance information into the company’s proprietary asset management application. Support the barcoding of assets for efficient lifecycle tracking. Contribute to the development of asset training manuals for mechanical and electrical equipment. Assist in updating OHS documentation, policies, and procedures. Participate in site visits and provide administrative support for project management tasks. Support the end-to-end lifecycle management of assets across more than 30 managed buildings. Qualifications: Currently enrolled in, or recently completed, a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with engineering systems, compliance requirements, and asset management concepts is an advantage. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
