About your new role This senior leadership role reports to the CEO and is responsible for managing and growing Anglicare Central Queensland’s Residential and Specialised Support programs. You will lead services that provide 24/7 therapeutic residential care for young people, along with transition and post-care programs that promote independence and wellbeing. You will oversee a team of service leaders, ensuring they deliver high-quality, trauma-informed care while meeting compliance, accreditation, and funding requirements. The role also involves developing new service opportunities, preparing tenders and funding submissions and building strong relationships with government and community stakeholders. With responsibility for budgets, contracts, and reporting, you will foster a culture of safety, learning and continuous improvement across the portfolio. Mandatory Requirements A fully completed Bachelor’s degree in Social or Behavioural Sciences, Social Work, Psychology or related discipline. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior management role within community services, child protection, or related fields. Current Blue Card (Working with Children) and Yellow Card (Disability Services). Current Queensland Open Driver’s Licence. Proof of eligibility to work in Australia. COVID-19 vaccination. Selection Criteria Demonstrated managerial experience across community services, child protection, and funding management in geographically diverse portfolios. In-depth knowledge of Commonwealth, State, and Local Government child protection policies, compliance, and frameworks. Strong strategic and outcome-focused mindset, with capacity to manage competing priorities. High-level communication skills to build relationships and influence stakeholders. Financial acumen and proven results in program growth and budget management. Proven leadership ability to develop cohesive and high-performing teams.
