Overview Head of Marketing – Edtech Scale-Up Location: Melbourne ideally (Sydney based candidates considered) Salary: $150k-$200k super bonus The Company Our client is a high-growth Australian edtech scale-up that is redefining the way education and training organisations engage learners. With a strong foothold in Australia and ambitious plans to expand into Southeast Asia and the UK, they are entering a critical phase of growth. The Opportunity Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Marketing will: Establish and lead the marketing function from the ground up, setting strategy, process, and capability. Develop and execute demand generation strategies and integrated campaigns to accelerate customer acquisition and pipeline growth. Build performance-driven marketing programs across digital, content, partnerships, and events. Define and manage marketing metrics, ROI, and attribution models to track performance and impact. Collaborate closely with sales, product, and customer success to ensure consistent market messaging. Build and mentor a marketing team in Australia, with a roadmap to expand headcount internationally as the business grows. Elevate brand presence and thought leadership positioning in Australia and future markets (SEA and UK). Candidate Profile The successful candidate will be an accomplished marketing leader with proven experience scaling teams and functions in a SaaS business. You must combine strategic vision with the ability to execute in hands-on ways during the early stages of function-building. Key Requirements Proven experience in marketing leadership with a strong track record in demand generation and pipeline growth. Background in B2B SaaS or edtech (essential). Demonstrated success in building or scaling marketing teams. Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in marketing automation, CRM, and analytics tools. Excellent brand storytelling and market positioning skills. Exposure to international marketing environments (SEA and UK markets highly regarded). Highly collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced, scale-up environment.
