Overview Senior M365 Security Consultant / Engineer (SA) at Chamonix IT Solutions. We help organisations strengthen their security posture while optimising their M365 environments. We’re looking for an M365 Security Consultant to join our Adelaide team—a hands-on technical expert who can design, configure, and maintain M365 security tools at the tenant level while integrating them into broader security frameworks. Responsibilities Designing, advising, configuring, and maintaining M365 security tools across Intune, Defender for Cloud & Endpoint, Purview, and Sentinel. Managing device and application security within Intune and applying mail security best practices with Defender. Integrating security tools into existing infrastructure and SIEM solutions (e.g., Sentinel), ensuring security data flows effectively for threat detection. Designing and implementing Zero Trust security strategies within Microsoft 365. Applying best practices in compliance and governance frameworks such as ISO 27001, Essential Eight, and NIST. Automating security tasks and configurations using PowerShell and KQL for efficiency and scalability. Supporting incident response efforts by analysing security events and providing threat intelligence insights. Advising on M365 licensing models and cost optimization to ensure organisations get the most from their security investments. What We're Looking For Deep technical expertise in M365 security tools, including Defender, Intune and EntraID, (Sentinel and Purview skills highly desirable). Experience with tenant-level security configurations and policies. Hands-on experience applying security tools to existing infrastructure. Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and best practices in M365 security governance. Experience with Zero Trust models and Conditional Access policy design. SIEM integration knowledge. Proficiency in PowerShell, KQL, and automation for security management. A passion for security, automation, and continuous improvement.
