Director of Kornmehl Centre Emanuel Pre-School Kornmehl Centre Emanuel Pre-school is located at the northern end of the Emanuel School campus in Randwick. The pre-school’s philosophy is based on Reggio Emilia and emphasizes play-based learning. The Director of Kornmehl Centre Emanuel Pre-school is the nominated supervisor, responsible for leadership and management of the pre-school operations, reporting to the Principal and Deputy Principal of Emanuel School. The Director oversees all pre-school staff, including an Educational Leader, educators, and non-teaching staff. This is a permanent, full-time position and the Director is a member of the whole school Executive team. The essential qualifications and experience for this role include: Degree in Early Childhood from a recognised University (as listed on the approved qualification list by ACECQA) Accreditation with NESA (or eligibility) and a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012 The essential knowledge and skills required include: Nominated Supervisor or leadership role in an Early Childhood Service Proven ability in policy creation, strategic planning, communication, administration, curriculum development, parent and community liaison, staff professional development, team leadership, and staff management Understanding of legislation related to early education and care services, such as WHS, the Early Years Learning Framework, Education and Care Services National Law (2010), Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011), and Child Care Subsidy laws Knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF) Experience managing a budget for an early education and care service Commitment to child safety, adhering to the National Principles of Child Safe Organisations or relevant Child Safe Standards (NSW) Understanding of developmental needs and strategies to enhance each child's experience at Kornmehl Centre Emanuel Pre-school How to apply: Submit your application via Seek or email to [email protected] .
