About the role Hawks Excavation Vic Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in Doncaster, VIC. As a Civil Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and oversight of our civil engineering projects, contributing to the company's continued growth and success. Roles and Responsibilities • Assist in planning, setting out, and supervising civil construction projects, including carparks, drainage, earthworks, and excavation. • Interpret and implement engineering drawings, specifications, and survey data to ensure works are carried out accurately. • Supervise daily site operations to ensure compliance with design requirements, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines. • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, surveyors, and local authorities to resolve on-site technical and operational issues. • Monitor site progress, prepare daily site reports, and ensure activities are completed within budget and schedule. • Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to confirm construction materials and methods meet required standards. • Support resource planning and cost control, ensuring efficient use of manpower, equipment, and materials. • Enforce workplace health and safety standards, promoting a safe and compliant site environment. • Provide technical guidance to site teams and assist in problem-solving during project execution.
