About the role SummitCare is looking for a motivated and creative Chef to join our catering team in Penrith. This is a full-time position working Sunday to Thursday . Key Responsibilities: Preparing, delivering, and serving nutritious and delicious meals tailored to customer preferences. Adhering to the Food Safety Program and maintaining records. Following Speech Pathology recommendations for meals. Managing food storage and inventory. Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organizing equipment maintenance. Communicating effectively with all stakeholders. Providing excellent customer service and managing feedback. To be successful, you'll need: A current Criminal Record Check . A Certificate III or IV in Hospitality/Commercial Cookery or equivalent. At least two years of experience as a Cook in an aged care or commercial kitchen setting. Strong communication skills with cultural sensitivity. Knowledge of HACCP guidelines . Experience with various cooking styles, diets, and nutritional requirements. Proficiency in food preparation, cooking for large groups, plating, and sandwich making. Ability to supervise and coordinate catering staff. Both team-oriented and capable of working independently.
