Job Description The Project & Opportunity Prospect Pre-Treatment Plant is a vital infrastructure project aimed at safeguarding Sydney’s water supply. The facility will ensure that residents across the city continue to receive safe, secure, and reliable drinking water, especially during periods of compromised water quality caused by storms, droughts, or bushfires. To support the successful delivery of this project, we are seeking a Structural Leading Hand to join our site delivery team. This is a key role for someone with strong structural and site supervision experience who is ready to take ownership of works on the ground. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate structural works on site, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and schedule requirements. Lead and direct site crews, providing clear guidance, mentoring, and hands-on support. Monitor progress against plans and promptly report any variances to management. Review and interpret drawings and specifications, ensuring works are delivered accurately. Work closely with subcontractors to manage daily planning, resources, cost, and quality control. Ensure strict adherence to the project’s quality and HSE requirements. Support preparation of site records, reporting, and progress updates. Required Skills and Competencies Previous experience as a Structural Leading Hand or in a similar supervisory role within construction. Strong background in structural works (reinforced concrete, steel structures, or similar). Ability to read and interpret drawings and plans with accuracy. Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coordinate site teams. Solid understanding of safety practices and a commitment to maintaining high HSE standards. Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with subcontractors, supervisors, and management. Experience working on water infrastructure projects (desirable).
