The Position Interpret menu cards for meal service to patients. Assist with the washing of cutlery, crockery and glassware. Assist with the washing up of large heavy-duty pots, pans and other kitchen utensils. Observe and practice all aspects of food, kitchen and personal hygiene. Assist with general kitchen hygiene, washing of walls, floors and refrigerators etc., and other areas as requested. To ensure that direct working relationships are established and maintained with colleagues and internal/external customers. You will have basic knowledge of all areas of kitchen hygiene, the ability to interpret menus correctly, along with the ability to prioritise your work and work to a set schedule To succeed you will have good interpersonal skills, the ability to use your initiative, demonstrate reliability and work with minimal supervision and guidance and good problem-solving abilities. Previous experience in hospital or large catering organisation and an understanding of Quality Improvement will be highly regarded.
