Remuneration: ASO7 – Salary Range ($108,109 - $116,864 p.a.) About the opportunity: In this key leadership role, you will assist the Payroll Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring payroll services are delivered in line with agreed service measures and compliance standards. You will act as a critical escalation point when required, responsible for resolving complex and emerging issues. You will build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, provide high-level advice on payroll matters, and contribute to strategic initiatives that enhance service delivery. Your ability to analyse performance metrics, identify risks, and lead improvement projects will be instrumental in supporting a culture of high performance and operational excellence. This role also plays a vital part in supporting major organisational change initiatives by influencing solution design and coordinating team efforts to ensure successful implementation. A strong customer service ethos and a commitment to professional development will be essential as you lead and support teams to consistently achieve high-quality outcomes. About you To be successful you will have: Relevant leadership experience in a high-volume transactional service delivery environment, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands and maintain personal resilience. Experience analysing and managing resource requirements and developing resource plans to support the achievement of team and organisational objectives. Advanced communication, interpersonal, influencing, and relationship management skills across a broad range of stakeholder groups, including advising senior management on complex matters. Experience in establishing performance and development goals and objectives to maximise team performance and continuously improve operational efficiency. Ability for strategic, analytical, and innovative thought and action, and the ability to think laterally when analysing and identifying business solutions. Experience implementing improvement initiatives and change management activities. Proven ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, exercise judgement and professional integrity. Self-initiate, work autonomously and make operational decisions, and do so in a highly collaborative environment, with a strong focus on communication and considered delivery. Possess and promote a commitment to service excellence and the continuous improvement of service standards. Ability to support the sound management of financial budget outcomes.
