The Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) is seeking applications for multiple APS6 Team Leader positions across all of our state CBD locations, Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Hobart, Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth, to support the Case Management sections. These hybrid and flexible positions are available on a full-time ongoing and full-time non-ongoing basis. About the opportunity We are seeking dedicated and operationally focused Team Leaders to join our case management operations team. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced leaders who are passionate about driving capability uplift, operational excellence, and delivering high-quality outcomes for tribunal users. Team Leaders are a critical component of the registry leadership structure and support the executive to deliver on the Tribunal's organisational priorities and statutory objectives. As a Team Leader, you will work across one or more jurisdictional areas of the tribunal and manage a geographically dispersed team. Reporting to an Assistant Director Operations (EL1), you will oversee day-to-day registry operations, workforce planning, and performance management, with a strong focus on coaching and developing team capability. You will drive a performance culture that is user-focused and aligned with the Tribunal's values, support strategic initiatives, lead continuous improvement, and support your team through change. We are seeking to fill Team Leader vacancies across multiple work areas, as outlined below. Applications & Early Case Assessment (AECA) The AECA section has responsibility for registering new applications and conducting preliminary jurisdiction assessments, as well as triaging and profiling to assist in determining appropriate case pathways Pathway Support The Pathway Support section provides administrative support for case management activities, including preparing files for case events before registrars, managing summons and finalising cases resolved during the case management phase. The key duties of the position include People management: Manage a team to deliver high quality services to users of the ART's services, members and registrars, with a focus on continuous improvement. Manage and develop individual and team performance. Plan and manage the workload and attendance of the team, including allocating, monitoring and quality-assuring work outputs. Model adherence to the APS Code of Conduct and other workplace policies to lead a positive, high-performance culture within the team. Stakeholder management: Develop and maintain strong, productive relationships with internal stakeholders, providing expert advice and support to members, registrars and staff in the management of cases and caseloads. Develop a culture of user-centred service and act as a point of escalation for complex user liaison. Case management oversight: Maintain an advanced working knowledge of applicable legislation and policy frameworks, operations, and practices of the jurisdictions of the ART. Oversee the management of the team's caseload and undertake case management tasks as required.
