Star Celebrations Pty Ltd, trading as Madison Function Centre, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Cook to join our team on a full-time basis. Our venue is renowned for delivering high-quality food and exceptional service for weddings, corporate events, and special functions. Position Overview We are looking for a motivated and skilled Cook who can prepare and present a wide range of dishes to a high standard in a fast-paced function centre environment. The ideal candidate will have strong culinary knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Key Duties and Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and cook a variety of menu items for functions, events, and à la carte dining. Ensure all food is prepared in line with company recipes, presentation standards, and portion control guidelines. Monitor food quality, freshness, and consistency at all times. Assist in menu planning, costing, and seasonal updates. Manage stock rotation, inventory control, and ordering of supplies. Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment in compliance with food safety regulations. Train, supervise, and coordinate kitchen staff where required. Work with management to deliver high-quality food service aligned with customer expectations. Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards. Requirements Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery (Certificate III or equivalent). Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience as a Cook. Strong knowledge of commercial cooking techniques, food safety, and hygiene practices. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple orders simultaneously. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by the function schedule.
