We are searching for an experienced Family Assistant that enjoys a varied role supporting a wonderful and professional family in Bulimba with school aged children. This hands-on, multifaceted role is ideal for someone who has had previous experience in private households and who thrives in an ever-changing environment Someone that has excellent organisational skills and is confident to make the role their own ensuring the household runs smoothly. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, confident managing a range of household and family-related tasks, including housekeeping, grocery shopping and personal and business errands, along with assisting with the children in the afternoons. Someone that is flexible, proactive and happy to step in wherever needed would be the ideal fit for this wonderful family. Duties and Responsibilities Maintain a tidy home and implement systems and a household manual Carry out all housekeeping duties Prepare healthy, nutritious meals and snacks for the family (ability to follow recipes required and an awareness of allergies essential) Carry out grocery shopping and household errands such as dry cleaning and post-office collections School pickup for the youngest child (9 years old) and supervision of children (ages 9, 12, 14) after school. Taking children to and from their after-school activities Assist with homework and encourage children’s participation in light household tasks Keep routines on track and ensure household needs are met daily Manage stocktake levels for both grocery and cleaning products Assist with occasional pet care (two dogs, a cat, birds and fish) including drop-off/pick-up from groomers Support with household administration, diary management, booking appointments, travel bookings and calendar management. Flexibility to assist with other household needs as they arise Candidate Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role supporting a household or family Organised, proactive, and confident working both independently and around the family Able to guide and support children with kindness and maintain clear boundaries Excellent communication skills Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle WWCC (Blue Card) and National Police Check First Aid and CPR certification Full working rights in Australia Job Conditions Monday to Thursday, (Occasional Fridays and weekends with notice) Hours can be adjusted for the right person Competitive Salary Travel costs reimbursed for work purposes Ref 1064901
