About the role You will ensure the optimal physical condition and management of defence assets across multiple bases. This role involves regular monitoring, performing thorough desktop reviews, and raising Estate Works Proposal (EWP) recommendations to improve and maintain the estate’s infrastructure. Your key responsibilities will include: Conducting detailed desktop reviews of estate assets. Collaborating with the Estate Appraisal & Engineering Manager on project strategies and implementation. Managing all activities and concerns related to asbestos, ensuring compliance with State and Federal regulations. Providing technical advice and support to other team members whilst participating in regular training and professional development. Raising comprehensive Estate Works Proposal (EWP) recommendations. Monitoring the physical condition of a diverse range of assets. About you Our ideal candidate will have: Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field. Registered professional engineer certification is preferred. Previous experience in civil engineering, preferably within a defence or government setting. Experience with asset condition monitoring and management. Experience in conducting desktop reviews and raising EWPs. Familiarity with State and Federal regulations pertaining to estate management and asbestos control. Proven track record of managing asbestos-related activities and issues. You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
