Overview Lecturers/Senior Lecturers - Cyber Security (Technical), UNSW Canberra. This is a full-time, 35 hours per week position. Location: UNSW Canberra, City Campus. Employment type: Full-time. Duration: Continuing to commence 2025 or 2026. Remuneration: Level B from $127,947; Level C from $155,403 plus 17% super. Successful candidates will contribute to the school’s teaching, research and administration through course development and delivery, research outputs and higher degree supervision, quality assurance, industry engagement, student support, and other administrative duties aligned to school and faculty objectives. Areas of interest include cryptography, secure systems, cloud computing, threat detection, digital forensics, ethical hacking, and data science. Responsibilities Contribute to teaching, research, and administration through course development and delivery, research outputs and higher degree supervision, quality assurance, industry engagement, student support, and related duties. Deliver courses in cyber security and related areas; contribute to course development and program design as needed. Engage with industry and professional bodies; participate in work-integrated learning and student support. Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a high-quality learning and research environment. All responsibilities align with school and faculty objectives. Qualifications Lecturer (Level B) A PhD in a related discipline, plus relevant work experience; a strong track record of research and publication or competitive research income; demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity; teaching and learning design experience; educational technologies and flexible delivery experience; strong interpersonal and organisational skills; ability to work with diverse backgrounds; experience with industry engagement and work-integrated learning. Senior Lecturer (Level C) In addition to Level B: course and program development; research output; research grant successes; postgraduate supervision; academic administration and staff mentoring; community and industry engagement.
