We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineering Draftsperson to join our team. The ideal candidate will be involved in both design and technical support tasks related to electrical systems — from drafting to hands-on involvement in workshop and field functions. Key Responsibilities Preparing drawings, plans, and diagrams of electrical installations and circuitry. Assisting Electrical Engineers and Engineering Technologists in the design and layout of electrical systems in substations, switchgear, cabling , and motor control systems . Collecting data, conducting tests, performing complex calculations , and preparing charts and tabulations of results. Estimating material quantities and costs for electrical projects. Inspecting drawings and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and safety standards . Assembling, installing, testing, calibrating, modifying, and repairing electrical equipment and installations . Performing workshop functions , including the installation of protection relay assemblies , metering , and indicating devices . Assisting with research and experimental programs as required by engineering staff. Skills & Qualifications Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering Drafting or similar qualification. 2 years of experience in an electrical drafting or electrical technician role. Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent drafting software (Revit or similar is a plus). Solid understanding of electrical systems and standards. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
