The Role We are seeking a qualified and experienced Cook to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Head Chef and be responsible for preparing and cooking a wide range of dishes in line with our menu and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Prepare, season, and cook menu items including entrées, mains, side dishes, and accompaniments. Follow established recipes and presentation guidelines to ensure consistency. Operate and maintain commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before use. Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies. Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety requirements. Maintain a clean and organised workstation and kitchen environment. Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff when required. Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and wider team to ensure smooth service during busy periods. Requirements Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification). Further studies such as Certificate IV or Diploma in Hospitality highly regarded. Minimum 1 years’ experience working in a commercial kitchen. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required. Passion for food and delivering high-quality meals consistently.
