Key Responsibilities As an accounting intern at PADAC, you will gain hands-on exposure across accounting and tax functions. Your responsibilities may include: Assisting in the preparation of tax returns, BAS, and financial statements Supporting bookkeeping tasks and reconciliations using accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB) Preparing working papers and basic financial schedules for review Conducting research on accounting and tax matters as required Assisting with client communications and maintaining accurate records Supporting the team with general administration and compliance tasks Ideal Candidate We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented student or recent graduate who is eager to learn and build a career in accounting. Minimum Requirements: Currently studying or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Strong understanding of accounting principles and Australian tax basics Proficiency in Excel, Word, and general office tools Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving ability Willingness to learn, take initiative, and adapt to a dynamic work environment Preferred Skills: Familiarity with Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks Previous exposure through coursework, projects, or part-time work in accounting Strong organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines Why Join PADAC?
