We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support a large-scale transport corridor study for an international mine development project in Central Africa . This Perth-based role (Monday-Friday) will involve ad-hoc travel to the region and is well-suited to someone who is adaptable, enjoys cross-cultural collaboration, and is open to travel. About the Role As part of the study team, you will be responsible for planning, contractor onboarding, overseeing geotechnical and geophysical site investigations, and providing critical input into alignment selection, design development, and risk assessments. You will play a key role in ensuring high-quality, safe, and timely delivery of investigation programs and technical outputs. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and support QA/QC and execution of in-country site investigations and technical surveys Build and maintain strong relationships with international and local contractors, consultants, and technical teams Support scope development, site data collection, contractor deliverable reviews, and compliance monitoring Interpret survey data and contribute to design development, risk assessment, and study reporting Oversee contractor mobilisation, ensuring safety and compliance standards are met Provide technical input into feasibility studies, schedules, and cost reviews Skills & Experience Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering with 5 years' experience Background in transport studies, mining operations, or large-scale infrastructure projects Strong problem-solving and analytical capability with ability to translate technical data into practical solutions Experience mobilising and overseeing contractors Competence in technical reporting, schedule/cost review, and project risk assessments Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ArcGIS knowledge advantageous Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills French language skills (advantageous, not essential) Why Join This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-profile, international study with a Tier 1 mining client.
