About the Role UGL is seeking an experienced QA/QC Advisor to join our team in a permanent fulltime position in KWINANA , Western Australia . This role will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a QA/QC system for maintenance and project works, ensuring compliance with quality standards, welding specifications, and traceability requirements. The position involves working closely with site teams to provide technical guidance and ensure work is carried out safely, cost-effectively, and to a high standard. Key Responsibility Areas Actively promote and embed UGL’s One HSE Culture to achieve safety and environmental objectives. Review, monitor and maintain compliance with UGL’s Quality Management Plan and client Quality Management System Monitor compliance with UGL and client safety systems and regulations. Ensure all QA/QC activities are conducted in accordance with UGL, client, and statutory requirements. Co-ordinate and oversee QA/QC for site works, including welding activities, flange management, inspection and testing activities in adherence to quality management plansand work instructions. Maintain records of non-conformance and implement corrective measures ensuring defect-free work delivery Conduct reviews of work packs to ensure correct documentation aligns with BP requirements for construction through to completions., Compile and submit Mechanical Data Reports (MDRs). Provide technical and quality advice in welding processes, consumables, and specifications while maintaining welding process qualifications and welder training/qualification programs Conduct audits, inspections, and monitor compliance with quality procedures with sub-contractors and suppliers onsite Liaise directly with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure material and service conformance. Maintain a program of review and analysis of product and/or process conformance and associated corrective/preventative actions. Facilitate development and ongoing review of management procedures and associated instructions and record requirements. Such procedures shall comply with the intent of AS/NZS IS09001. Skills and Qualifications Tertiary qualifications in engineering or related discipline. Extensive experience in ISO 9001 quality management systems and welding supervision in accordance with AS 1796 Certificate 10 and AS 2214 standards. API 653 Qualification and experience with API 650 Inspection compliance standards. (highly desirable) Proven leadership and people management capabilities. Familiarity with HSE requirements, construction industry regulations, and maintenance procedures. Experience within contracting, construction, or maintenance environments.
