We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join our local government clients Procurement Unit. In this key role, you will support the end-to-end procurement lifecycle across the organisation, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and best practice standards. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to delivering value-for-money outcomes and to help shape efficient, sustainable, and compliant procurement processes within local government. Key Responsibilities Assist with the preparation of procurement documents in accordance with legislation, policies, WH&S, insurance, and environmental standards. Publish and manage procurement documents using electronic and automated systems. Facilitate procurement evaluations in collaboration with Business Units and evaluation panels. Prepare contract documentation and manage the execution process. Maintain and administer Council's contract registers and vendor panels. Ensure all procurement records are accurately maintained in Council's document management system. Support the Procurement Unit in delivering high-quality services to Business Units. Assist in conducting spend analysis to identify whole-of-Council procurement opportunities. Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver value-for-money procurement outcomes. Support the Team Leader Procurement in implementing and monitoring compliant and effective procurement systems and practices. About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Demonstrated experience in government tendering and contract management. Knowledge of NSW Local and State Government procurement policies, contracts, and regulations. Experience in contract performance management and monitoring. Working knowledge of SAP (Contract Management Module). Familiarity with the buy.nsw system/software and other electronic tendering platforms. Strong understanding of procurement probity, compliance, and risk management. Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder engagement skills.
