Are you an experienced Governance and Risk professional with a passion for strengthening frameworks and supporting executive leadership? We're looking for a Governance and Risk Advisor to join a well-respected state-based not-for-profit organisation in Floreat. This is a full-time, Monday-Friday assignment for 6-8 weeks, with an immediate start available. Working hours: Monday - Friday - Full Time hours Pay rate: $60 per hour Super Start date: ASAP Duration: 6-8 week contract The Role In this assignment, you'll play a key role in enhancing the organisation's governance and risk management practices. With a governance framework already in draft form, your focus will be on developing risk management systems and processes, while also supporting the completion of governance work where required. Key Responsibilities Continue development of corporate governance policies and procedures in line with the draft Governance Framework. Support the Board and executive leadership in governance matters, including reporting and documentation. Assist in developing a comprehensive risk matrix across strategic, operational, financial, and compliance areas. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls. Establish requirements for maintenance of the enterprise risk register. Provide advice and support to stakeholders to embed governance and risk practices across the organisation. Experience Required Proven experience in governance and/or risk management roles. Strong knowledge of governance frameworks, risk management processes, and compliance requirements. Excellent written communication and documentation skills. Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively with boards and executive leaders. High attention to detail, discretion, and sound professional judgment. Full working rights in Australia (Permanent Residents / AU Citizens only).
