Electrical Engineer We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support major projects in the mining, metals, and energy sectors. You'll be responsible for delivering electrical engineering design, studies, and technical support across all project phases, ensuring compliance with standards and client requirements. Key Responsibilities Lead and contribute to the design, development, and modification of electrical systems and components. Carry out system studies including short circuit, load flow, motor starting, voltage drop, relay protection coordination, arc flash, and earthing. Prepare and review single line diagrams, schematics, cable schedules, equipment lists, and material take-offs. Support procurement through equipment sizing, specifications, bid evaluations, and vendor document reviews. Coordinate with other disciplines, clients, vendors, and contractors to resolve technical issues and ensure project alignment. Participate in model reviews (30%, 50%, 90%) and contribute to risk assessments such as HAZID and HAZOP. Provide input into construction support, regulatory compliance, and project execution planning. About You Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent). 5-12 years' relevant experience in FEED, proposals, and detailed design—preferably within EPC or large industrial projects. Strong background in Australian mining, metals, or oil & gas projects. Proficient in ETAP or DIgSILENT for electrical studies. Familiar with AS/NZS 3000 and relevant industry codes. Full Australian work rights. Skilled in both independent and collaborative project delivery, with focus on schedule and budget compliance. Desirable Experience in power system studies and procurement package management. Previous exposure to utilities, power generation, or large-scale industrial facilities.
