The Open Space department is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all Sportsgrounds, Reserves, Playgrounds, Horticulture, Urban Forrest, Foreshore and Bushland assets within the municipality. The Spray Technicians ensure our open spaces look neat and are weed free using an integrated weed management approach. The role We are seeking an Open Space professional to join the Spray Crew. Reporting to the Spray Crew Leader, your role is to: Support your Crew Leader and team in maintaining Kingston's open space garden beds Help foster an environment that encourages open communication, sharing of ideas and feedback Perform spraying tasks and other horticultural tasks as required such as planting, mulching, pruning, weeding and feeding Carry out tasks with safe and efficient use of hand tools and various machinery Communicate effectively within the team to undertake scheduled and reactive works Your Skills and Experience Certificate 3 Horticulture or similar Chemical Certificate Accreditation MR licence desirable The right candidate will be able to demonstrate the City of Kingston’s values of We make a difference ǀ We show care and respect ǀ We take pride in our work ǀ We are better together Don’t meet every single requirement for this role?
