ABOUT US EKCO Hand Therapy is Queensland’s largest hand and upper limb rehabilitation organisation. If you could define the EKCO Hand Therapy team in one word, it would be passionate. Our team consists of approximately 30 practitioners in hand therapy and 10 administration staff who operate from five clinics in the greater Brisbane area. We work together to deliver state-of-the-art treatment programs and innovative rehabilitation techniques for our patients. Our hand therapists work closely with leading hand and upper limb surgeons and run join clinics within their rooms on a weekly basis. Our caseload ranges from elite sportspeople and multi-trauma, to conservative management of tendinopathies and degenerative disease. ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a Practitioner in Hand Therapy to join our XXXX Clinic, STATE (XXXX Country) , on a Full-Time basis, working 38 hours a week. Reporting directly to the Manager - EKCO Hand Therapy, this position will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to become part of a dynamic team working within a fast paced and rapidly evolving industry sector. DUTIES The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: Assessment and treatment of hand and upper limb injury and disease including trauma, sporting and work related injury Manufacture of static and dynamic splints and casts and complete wound care Liaison with key stakeholders and surgeons regarding the rehabilitation process Preparation of written reports Involvement in the Return to Work process CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS The successful candidate will be responsible for attending to the needs of the practice, patients, cases and therapy records of the business in an efficient and professional manner and participating in training and assessments where required. You must be flexible and able to drive between clinics based in XXXX. Experience and/or knowledge of XXXX legislation (Workers’ Compensation) will be an advantage. You will also possess: A Degree in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy and have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working within the profession. A minimum of 12 months of specific hand therapy experience Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated capacity for executing tasks with the highest level of accuracy and attention to detail The ability to work both within a large team environment and autonomously WHY JOIN US?
