We are seeking to establish a pool of Education Assistant – Special Needs for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. The West Coast Language Development Centre (LDC) is a specialist school that provides early intervention for children in Kindergarten to Year 2 with Developmental Language Disorder. We are looking for Educations Assistants that are passionate about supporting young children with language difficulties. Education experience is highly advantageous and experience in the early years or an Education Support setting would be ideal. The West Coast LDC caters for around 300 students from Kindergarten to Year 2. We are situated across four sites in Padbury, Hamersley, Heathridge and Quinns Rocks. Education Assistants may be located at any site and may move across sites over time. The Role Education Assistants at West Coast LDC will ideally have a high-level capacity to achieve outcomes through working with and managing students in small groups, one-on-one and by assisting the teacher with whole class activities. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of health and physical disabilities in students and adolescents. Demonstrated effective organisational skills that will assist in the delivery of effective education programs and subsequent feedback and evaluation to teachers or psychologists.
