We are seeking a strategic and highly collaborative Engagement Leader to manage the Commission's public presence, stakeholder engagement, and communications strategy. The Director of Engagement will ensure the Commission is visible, trusted, and influential through high-quality engagement with stakeholders, media, and the community. This role will lead a small, high-performing team and collaborate closely with the Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, and other areas to deliver integrated strategies that connect the Commission's work with diverse audiences. The key duties of the position include • lead the Strategic Communications and Engagement section • provide strategic advice to the Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner on policy priorities, risk management, media and other matters that arise • oversee strategic stakeholder engagement, including planning and coordination of leadership meetings, forums, and relationships with government and peak bodies • manage the Commission's media and public communications, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals • deliver digital communications and social media strategies, ensuring strong and inclusive visibility • drive digital content production, including graphics, video, and campaign assets • develop and implement the Commission's overarching engagement strategy • support risk management, succession planning, and continuity in communications functions • provide advice, briefings, and submissions to senior leadership, government, and external stakeholders.
