Location: Melbourne About the Role Provide discipline-specific technical input across all project stages — from client inquiry to completion — including design deliverables, coordination with other disciplines, liaison with clients and authorities, site inspections, and reporting. Key Responsibilities Provide technical input, calculations, reports, and construction documentation in line with Meinhardt standards, codes, and legislative requirements. Deliver projects to a high standard, on time and within budget, coordinating effectively across disciplines, consultants, and sub-consultants. Liaise with clients, authorities, and project teams to maintain strong relationships and clear, consistent communication. Support or lead projects as required, monitoring budgets, timelines, deliverables, and team performance. Undertake design reviews, prepare project reporting, and ensure compliance with quality assurance processes. Contribute to tenders, proposals, and consulting submissions in support of business growth. Share technical expertise with colleagues, mentor junior staff, and stay current with new technologies and industry standards. Promote safe work practices, continuous improvement, and effective collaboration across both local and remote teams. Skills & Experience Technical Skills Strong civil design knowledge across urban development, subdivisions, roads, drainage, and earthworks. Experience with Australian Standards, Austroads, QUDM, ARR, council requirements, and technical documentation. Proficiency in Civil 3D, 12D, DRAINS, MUSIC, AutoCAD, and MS Office. Understanding of stormwater management, WSUD, utilities, geotechnical principles, constructability, and contract documentation. Ability to perform engineering calculations, hydraulics, and pavement design. Awareness of sustainability, resilient infrastructure, and cost-effective solutions. Qualifications & Experience Degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline) with 5–10 years’ relevant experience. Driver’s licence; membership or eligibility for professional engineering accreditation. Registration in relevant state professional engineer register where required (RPEQ, PER, DBP).
