This role is ideal for a technically curious engineering student who wants practical experience with PCB assembly, lab test equipment, and real-world troubleshooting in a structured workplace. Role & Responsibilities Assemble, solder, and prototype PCBs (SMD & THT) under engineer supervision; support build iterations.Execute test plans using oscilloscope, multimeter, power supplies and logic analyzers; capture and document results.Assist with schematic updates, BOM maintenance and basic PCB layout tasks in Altium or Eagle.Collect, analyse and present experimental data; create concise test reports and defect logs for engineers.Troubleshoot circuit faults, perform root-cause analysis and propose corrective actions for prototypes.Maintain lab equipment, enforce safety procedures and manage component inventory for prototyping runs. Skills & Qualifications Must-Have Enrolled in a Bachelor’s/Master’s program in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related engineering degree.Hands-on experience with soldering, multimeter and oscilloscope; comfortable with basic circuit analysis.Available to work on-site in Australia and able to commit to the internship period. Preferred Familiarity with Altium Designer or Eagle for schematic/BOM updates and basic PCB edits.Experience with embedded C or microcontroller projects (ARM/AVR/ESP families).Previous internship or academic project work involving prototyping, testing, or lab-based R&D.
