About Us The St Vincent de Paul Society (SA) Inc (The Society) is a major international charitable and voluntary organisation that has been operating in South Australia since 1884. Our principal role is to provide for or alleviate the needs of disadvantaged people in the community. The Society is committed to addressing poverty and hardship through direct support and advocacy. In South Australia, The Society has over 2,500 members and volunteers, 140 employees, 35 shops, 10 Fred’s Van locations, a Refugee and Asylum Seeker Service, and both Men’s and Women’s Crisis Centres. Our WHS and Maintenance functions play a vital role in delivering on our Mission by ensuring the safety, compliance, and upkeep of our workplaces so our people can focus on serving the community. Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate WHS and maintenance databases, records, and reports Prepare correspondence, meeting notes, and routine documentation Assist with coordinating contractor works and tracking preventative maintenance schedules Support WHS audits, inspections, and compliance monitoring Respond to internal and external enquiries in a timely, professional manner Assist with invoice coding and document management Contribute to process improvements in WHS and maintenance administration About You: We’re looking for someone who is: Comfortable with general office administration tasks Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel, and email Organised and able to manage competing priorities, and follow set processes accurately A good communicator who can work well with a wide range of people You should have: Previous experience in an administrative role Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word) Current SA Driver’s Licence (Class C) Flexibility to work after hours and travel across SA (on occasion) Highly regarded: Experience in WHS and asset/facility coordination Experience in invoice and quote coordination Background in the not-for-profit sector Special Conditions: Employment is subject to satisfactory National Police Check and pre-employment health assessment Work location will be predominantly at Franklin Street, Adelaide, with travel across SA to our sites as required using a Fleet car What we can offer you: A friendly, collaborative, and inclusive work environment Salary packaging arrangements – helping you save on tax, and increase your take-home pay Ongoing training and development opportunities Free and confidential Employee Assistance Program and other financial and wellbeing initiatives The chance to make a real impact through your role How to Apply: If this looks like the role for you, please apply via SEEK and submit your resume and a brief cover letter detailing your relevant experience.
