With a 10 year mine life and likely further extensions this UG mining operation offers the following benefits;- Full job security and permanent long-term work Excellent earning potential with double time paid on all overtime hours Training and upskilling opportunities A close knit team culture 7:7 roster (days/ nights) The role Reporting into the supervisor on your crew, you will enjoy working in a close knit team of maintenance tradespeople and operators on the following duties;- Drill services, breakdowns, fault finding, diagnostics, problem solving, PM work and scheduled maintenance Work will predominantly be UG in the workshop and in the field working on the machines at the face Machinery - Sandvik and Epiroc drills Your skills and experience You will have come from a diesel trade background and have a minimum of 5 years UG mining experience. You will also have a background working on UG hard rock mining drills in the workshop and in the field. Your other skills include;- Having a strong knowledge of Sandvik and Epiroc drills Being able to attend to breakdowns on UG drills and problem solving autonomously Having a high attention to detail and able to deliver quality results Able to work in a small close-knit team and autonomously Excellent safety values This is a unique opportunity to secure an underground Drill Fitter role in the Tasmania mining sector.
