Project Engineer – Civil Roads (Site-Based) Far North Queensland | DIDO Full-Time | On-Site | Accommodation & Meals Provided About The Opportunity Our client specialises in delivering high-quality civil road infrastructure projects across Far North Queensland. About the Opportunity We are seeking a capable and experienced Project Engineer to join their site team on a major road infrastructure project located approximately 100km south of Cairns. This is a Drive-In Drive-Out (DIDO) role with a Monday to Friday roster, offering a hands-on opportunity to contribute to a high-impact project and play a key role in regional development. What You’ll Be Doing You’ll work closely with the Project Manager and a tight-knit site team to ensure smooth delivery of civil works in line with TMR standards. Your responsibilities will include: Leading and supporting daily construction activities Coordinating with site supervisors, subcontractors, and the Contractor Quality Representative (CQR) Monitoring progress, quality, and compliance with engineering specifications Conducting quality assurance checks and resolving technical challenges Maintaining a strong safety culture and ensuring WHS compliance Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to meet project goals Who You’ll Be Working With You’ll be part of a focused site team including: Project Manager CQR Safety Advisor Site Supervisor Field crews and subcontractors What We’re Looking For Minimum 4 years’ experience on civil infrastructure projects (roads preferred) Experience with TMR projects is an advantage Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Strong knowledge of Queensland road infrastructure standards Ability to interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Willingness to work on-site in a regional location Job Perks Work on high-profile projects shaping Queensland’s infrastructure Competitive salary career growth opportunities Join a dynamic and experienced engineering team Enjoy the lifestyle and scenery of Far North Queensland Meals and accommodation provided on-site If this sounds like the next step in your career then we want to hear from you!
