Your new companyOur client, a successful company specialising in HVAC and Mechanical services, is recruiting a talented HVAC Estimator / Project Engineer to work on the delivery of various projects, within the Commercial, Industrial and Defence sectors. Your new role As an HVAC Estimator / Project Engineer, you will be responsible for developing cost estimates and assist in managing the design, installation and commissioning of HVAC systems. This is a permanent full-time role based in Darwin. Your key responsibilities will be: Review and analyse project requirements and documentation including scope of works, drawings, and specifications. Coordinate and liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and prepare accurate cost estimates. Prepare tender response and contract bids documentation including response schedule, price breakdowns, and bill of quantities. Develop project plans, as built drawings, shop drawings and construction schedules. Collaborate with Consultants, Contractors, and Clients to ensure smooth project execution and address any issues or conflicts. Monitor project delivery to ensure delivery meets required specifications, timeframes and budget. What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role you will have: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Previous experience in HVAC estimating and / or project engineering. Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, CostX, SimPRO) and MS Office Suite. Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and installation practices. Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills. The ability to obtain a DCAC Pass / Defence Clearance.
