Wanted: volunteer tutors who can help kids from refugee families with their homework. Children range from Prep to Year 12, so you can choose the level you feel most comfortable assisting. The parents of these children are unable to help their kids with their homework because they don't have enough literacy and numeracy themselves, having come from war-torn countries and refugee camps where education was not available. To participate as a volunteer tutor you will need a current Victorian Working With Children Check (free for volunteers) and be able to either attend face-to-face tutoring sessions or connect with the kids using Zoom.
