You will oversee the preparation and review of tax returns and financial statements, draft technical advice, and devise structures for inbound and outbound investments. The position involves close collaboration with clients, colleagues in Australia and Sri Lanka, and external advisors such as lawyers and bankers. Key Responsibilities • Prepare and review direct and indirect tax returns and financial statements • Conduct quality assurance reviews of client files for Director sign off • Assist with technical tax calculations including CGT, tax loss utilisation, CFCs, forex and Division 7A • Manage international tax compliance matters including thin capitalisation and hybrid mismatch rules • Review annual financial statements and disclosures for companies and trusts • Devise structures for inbound and outbound investments and draft technical advice • Collaborate with external advisors including lawyers, bankers and M&A professionals • Stay abreast of OECD and foreign tax changes and their impact on clients • Prepare tax provision calculations and financial statement disclosures in line with AASB 112 • Mentor and manage junior staff, including contributing to internal training programs • Lead process and technology improvements, including deployment of AI tools • Ensure adherence to privacy, confidentiality, and professional standards About You You will be a qualified tax professional with strong technical expertise in corporate and international tax matters, paired with a commercial mindset and the ability to work closely with diverse stakeholders. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, can balance hands-on compliance with strategic advisory, and enjoy mentoring junior staff. Flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to operate across cultures are key to success in this role.
