What You'll Be Doing The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) is an expert practitioner who, through leadership, facilitates evidence-based practice. The CNC will promote a service which fosters clinical excellence, research and professional leadership. The CNC contributes to quality health care by collaborating with health care providers and consumer groups, developing clinical practice standards and evaluating their outcomes. The CNC is responsible for providing services which facilitate effective management of care in the given specialty. Where You'll Be Working Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital is located in Bankstown and is part of a multicultural community. The ED handles diverse presentations, with general medical and surgical services and sub-specialty services across the hospital. Qualifications & Experience Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and at least 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience, with at least 3 years in the specialty field. Postgraduate nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field are required, or other qualifications/experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation. Describe a time when you provided clinical leadership that led to improved patient outcomes or enhanced clinical practice within an emergency department.
