The Job Profile We are looking for an enthusiastic Publicist to join the team. Reporting to the Publicity Manager, the candidate for the role will coordinate successful publicity campaigns on a range of adult books for Simon & Schuster and Affirm Press. The Job Role The role involves executing imaginative, effective and impactful publicity campaigns, working closely with the publishing, marketing, and sales teams to deliver fully integrated promotional plans. The Candidate Profile The successful candidate would have a proven track record of delivering inventive publicity campaigns across both traditional and digital media. They will have experience in organising events and book tours, and be ready to be involved in all facets big and small. The candidate will have an established network of media and event contacts and be able to hit the ground-running in a vibrant department. Whilst this role encompasses work on a wide variety of titles, we are particularly keen to welcome applications from candidates with experience in or passion for non-fiction and literary titles. The role encompasses working on titles across Simon & Schuster, Scribner, Affirm and Summit Australia titles. A prowess for multi-tasking and innovative thinking is a must, as is exemplary organisational skills and an eye for detail, the ability to handle a variety of campaigns from debuts to brand and celebrity authors, and the ability to juggle multiple campaigns at once.
