We provide sales, service, and repairs of a wide range of small engines and equipment including lawn mowers, ride-on mowers, compact tractors, chainsaws, blowers, and more. Position Responsibilities We are seeking a qualified Small Engine Mechanic to join our team under a full-time employment arrangement. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Inspecting, diagnosing, and testing engines, transmissions, and mechanical systems on small engines and outdoor power equipment. Servicing and repairing lawn mowers, ride-on mowers, compact tractors (e.g., Kubota), chainsaws, blowers, and related equipment. Using diagnostic equipment and tools to identify faults, assess damage, and determine necessary repairs or replacements. Dismantling and reassembling engines and mechanical components. Adjusting, repairing, or replacing defective parts including bearings, clutches, and carburettors. Performing routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, spark plug servicing, and lubrication. Workshop and Field Service Work – conducting repairs both in-house at our Rockingham workshop and at client locations (using either employee’s vehicle or company transport as arranged). Assisting with parts selection and ordering to ensure availability of correct components for repairs. Maintaining accurate service and repair records in line with workshop requirements. Undertaking other related duties as required to ensure the efficient operation of Coastline Mowers. Skills & Experience Required Relevant trade qualification as a Small Engine Mechanic (Certificate III in Outdoor Power Equipment Technology or equivalent). Minimum of 2 years’ demonstrated work experience in a similar environment in the servicing and repair of small engines and outdoor power equipment. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability. Proficiency in the use of workshop tools, equipment, and diagnostic technology. Ability to work independently and in field service environments. Current valid driver’s licence.
