On behalf of Tier One Traffic, an Australian-owned company delivering professional traffic control and engineering solutions across metropolitan, regional and rural New South Wales, we are seeking an experienced and skilled ICT Business Analyst to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening the company’s ICT systems that support contractor coordination, permit processing, traffic modelling, and operational reporting. Current Opening: This opportunity is a full-time position (38 hours per week). Position Responsibilities and Tasks Document functional needs for systems supporting traffic control planning, permit workflows, contractor scheduling, and traffic engineering modelling. Analyse and refine current ICT platforms used for same-day TCP generation, permit management, contractor engagement, and traffic simulation. Collaborate with internal leadership, traffic coordinator, traffic engineers, contractors, and third-party vendors to ensure ICT alignment with operational demand. Design and maintain dashboards and automated reports to track metrics like plan turnaround times, permit approval rates, resource utilisation, and compliance indicators. Enable reliable data exchange between contractors’ systems and Tier One’s central ICT infrastructure to minimise duplication and enhance transparency Support system testing (including regression and user acceptance), and manage training for users across planning and execution teams. Identify tasks suitable for automation, such as permit progression notifications, quote-to-plan generation, and performance alerts, to improve responsiveness. Ensure ICT workflows and documentation align with NSW regulatory frameworks (e.g. RMS requirements) and internal safety standards. Leverage data insights to guide resource planning, identify bottlenecks, and model traffic responses for upcoming projects. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Information Systems, or equivalent. Proven experience of at least one year as ICT Business Analyst in infrastructure, engineering, or transport sectors. Proficiency with tools such as Power BI, SQL, and ideally traffic engineering platforms (e.g. traffic modelling or signal optimisation systems) Strong cross-functional collaboration, communication, and technical documentation skills. Exposure to NSW traffic control regulations, TCP/TMP workflows, and permit systems desirable. Salary: The role offers a remuneration package of $80,000 - $95,000 per annum, plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
