The Role We are looking for a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about carpentry, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in leading a team to complete high-quality projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing projects, mentoring apprentices, and ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard. Responsibilities Lead and oversee carpentry projects from start to finish Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget Supervise and mentor junior carpenters and apprentices Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and other trades Maintain a safe and organized work environment Troubleshoot and solve any issues that arise on-site Requirements Minimum of 5 years of carpentry experience, with leadership experience preferred Strong knowledge of residential construction and renovation techniques Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, and carpentry techniques Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and leadership abilities Valid driver’s license and own transportation Relevant carpentry qualifications or certifications preferred Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Opportunities for professional growth and development Supportive team environment Variety of challenging and rewarding projects About Us We are a small but growing building business dedicated to high-quality craftsmanship and exceptional customer service.
